"A poll (http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/speakeasy/showthread.php?p=692304&postcount=155): why not? . . . I'll forward the results inside the ECM office." —Steve Lake of ECM
Please make up to FIVE choices.
The poll will close at the end of December (on the night before New Year's Eve).
The poll entries were nominated in posts # 1 - 61 of another thread (http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/speakeasy/showthread.php?t=21739).
And that's about it--except for the "footnotes" in the next post. Happy voting!

"Footnotes" :)
1. When the poll is over, I'll try to provide Steve Lake of ECM with whatever kind of geographical breakdown he wants.
2. Re:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2253/2083585197_2344292685_o.jpg
Per a suggestion (http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/speakeasy/showpost.php?p=695040&postcount=48) in the Poll Nominations thread, the three individual albums don't appear in the poll.
3. Because they're not "worst cases" in terms of being unavailable, the two Old and New Dreams albums on ECM, which I'd nominated, don't appear in the poll.

A Tip on Viewing the Poll Results
After You've Taken the Poll
After you've taken the poll, the right side of your "View Poll Results" screen will look like this:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2081/2087060511_768290d9a0_o.jpg
But if you click on any of the vote totals that's greater than zero--e.g., the 6, the 5, or the 1--the right side of your "View Poll Results" screen will look like this:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2148/2087061135_3c412e8c1e_o.jpg
(That's the same view that people get if they click on "View Poll Results" before they've taken the poll.)
If I keep being all alone in this thread, I may have to resort to posting an interview with myself. You know, people can use this thread to campaign for their favorite albums, offer bribes to future voters, whatever. :)<br>

it's my first post in this forum... I'm Stanko from Milan (Italy, what else?). The same nick in the AAJ forum...
I must confess I cast 6 votes... Shall I be lapidated?
Moreover... (shame on me) I made another mistake: my vote for Beirach's "Elm" was actually for Kuhn's "Ecstasy"... wrong line! :o
Usually, I'm not such a botcher!

First, thanks for letting me know what "your country" is, as I'd requested in #8 (http://speakeasy.jazzcorner.com/speakeasy/showpost.php?p=701332&postcount=8).
Second, thanks for 'fessing up to overvoting. (I'd noticed.) ;) What happens re overvotes and mistaken votes will be whatever Lois Gilbert (JC's administrator) or Steve Lake (of ECM) decides.
