I have left JC. If my deletions disrupt continuity, please accept my apology, but JC is no longer the place to be, as far as I am concerned.

That would be fantastic, but damned near impossible to implement with any effectiveness.

I recommend learning how to combat it on your own, as explained here (http://www.geocities.com/spameradicator/pcspam3.html) and other places.

You can just forward it to your ISP, but sometimes if you send it right to the source, they'll knock the offending server off right away.

I disagree with the statement that the ISPs shouldn't be fully responsible for this, though. When I ran Sigma, a quarter of the spam we received came through Cable & Wireless, Roadrunner and Marietta FiberNet. These ISPs, and others, need to get their shit together and be more vigilant in preventing batch mailings coming across their routers. Marietta hosts Starlan who run Email Courier, one of the most notorious spammers on the net. They don't know where all of these e-mails are coming from? They can't do something about it? Gimme a break.
