Highlights of things I saw on Sunday.......David G. and his friend for starters!

Bill Holman Orchestra.....nothing short of fantastic!
Every chart a work of art; two interpretations of Monk tunes (recorded on the CD Brilliant Corners) were most enjoyable.....and what a band; bunch of killers from L.A.

George Brooks Summit.....I can take or leave Brooks although the overall sound has a nice vibe, but Zakir Hussain is off the chain!!

Wally Schnalle Quintet....I got to choose what bands I wanted to emcee for Sunday at that stage, and this was a no brainer. Local drummer's band was/is slammin'!!
