Arts for Art Presents
Vision Collaboration Festival
Dance / Music / Visual Arts
at the
The Center
268 Mulberry bet. Prince St. & Houston
Friday & Saturday, November 14 & 15, 2003
New York, NY -- Arts for Art presents the first Vision Collaboration Festival. Audiences, artists and writers will get a chance to see how different choreographers have been responding to this wonderfully complex music form, avantjazz.
There already exists a movement in dance based on collaborations with avantjazz. This movement is unique in that it is not based on a single vocabulary of dance, nor a single aesthetic. Grouping together dance forms will give rise to a further development of both vocabulary and aesthetics in the dance world. Arts for Art has laid the groundwork within the music and dance community through the Vision Festival and our other presentations. Audience interest in the dance component of the Vision Festival has make the Vision Collaboration Festival the essential next step in our efforts to elevate this approach to choreography and improvisation.
The Festival will take place Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 at St. Patrickšs Youth Center (268 Mulberry Street, NYC - between Prince and Houston).
