Hey, Mone. I really like being able to see today's posts when I'm not logged in--and sometimes logout just to do so. Is there a way to use the search function to produce this result when one IS logged in? ("New Posts" is often a bit weird.)
Thanks.

Thanks, Walter--I didn't even know about that "Today's Posts" link for the non-logged-in.
A workaround until such time as Mone can grant your wish to have "Today's Posts" as well as "New Posts" available when logged in:
1. When logged out, click "Today's Posts."
2. On the "Today's Posts" page, right-click a thread of interest and choose "Open in a new window."
3. In the new window, log in, read, post if so desired.
4. Close the new window when you're done.
5. Repeat step 2 for all threads of interest; the cookie remains from your first log-in, and in subsequent windows opened from "today's posts" threads, you'll be logged in.

Do you folks log in and out all the time? Unless I'm on a shared computer, I keep myself logged in; the cookie settings save on shutdown and reboot.

To follow up on Mr. C's question - why would one want to log-out? (apart from technical issues a la walto's)

Just an FYI that I've read the thread, folks. As I informed Lois, probably no site changes until I get this whole weddin' bizness outta da way.

Pete, I too let my cookies do the talking and stay logged in. But Walter found a feature that you can only use when you're not logged in.

Why don't you leave that to Romney, Santorum, and Bush?

What, the wedding or the website maintenance?

I find the "Today's Post" helpful when at work because our system here does not accept Jazz Corner's cookies and I can not stay logged in. If I want to post from work I have to go through the log in process each time.
