Hi all,

I'm new here, and it looks like there are a lot of bad feelings between many posters here, so I probably shouldn't be sticking my nose into this conversation.

But, racism has always been at the top of my list of things that I have zero tolerance for. The guy who made the remark obviously has some issues that he's trying to deal with, and the statement itself was rather dumb, but I don't know if there was any racism involved. A serious lack of knowledge and awareness of the society around him; but I doubt someone who is racist would have used the term "blacks".

Seems more like he may have been bemoaning the overall treatment of blacks throughout the history of this country and frightened to realize he may one day pay for injustices others have been responsible for.
