Hehehehe great lineup. It's very amusing to compare it to big name U.S., Canadian & European festivals like Monterey, Montreux, Montreal, etc.

Of all the acts I think I only wouldn't see two or three (Take Six, Sting or Hassell, for instance)...All the other ones are real!

I'm sure you'd be welcome if you took the trip across the sea.

Hahaha thanks, yardbird! I've been craving for years to go to Norway and spend my nights hanging out at Blå. This year I'm traveling to the Vision fest in NYC but who knows, maybe if I save enough money I can make the trip to Scandinavia next year or something...

Oh and same here if you ever come to México, let me know and I'll give you info on jazz/improv events!

Thanks, I'll get in touch if that should happen - maybe then we also could do a journey in the Mexican footsteps of
    Charles Mingus!

Yeah man, Cuernavaca is a beautiful place!

This is more or less what it looked like when Mingus and many other jazzmen started to move there:

Shouldn't this be on the Molde Figs thread?

    Sorry...

    Sorry...
They used to have a trad jazz festival for a few years too -
what a great name Molde Figs would have been for that one!

The present festival, however, is'n very figgy.

It made me smile, and I guess I'll use that expression when meeting a couple of old friends from Molde next time.
