Oscar Peterson 'We Get Requests' SACD?

Never checked this one out so thought I'd give it a shot. Anyone have a preference for the domestic release over any of the Japanese (non-SACD) releases....or vice versa? ...or the vinyl over at Acoustic Sounds perhaps? Is it worth plunking down a few extra bills for the JPN SACD? Or should I stop being selfish and buying new stuff and just use the money to buy my heartbroken 9 year-old a new thistle feeder for the finches to replace the one that the blasted squirrel chomped several whopping holes in?

I don't know how it sounds, but the Japan SACD is on sale over at towerrecords.com right now, so I ordered it earlier today. It's a special order, and Tower usually sucks when it comes to special orders (especially when ordered at sale prices), but I thought I'd give it a whirl.

I just got this SACD in the mail today and am very impressed with it. I'm very familiar with the VME of this album, and soundwise, especially when it comes to the bass and the cymbals, the SACD blows the VME away. I haven't listened to the CD layer yet, but with SACD players in all the essential locations of the house, I probably never will. Highly recommended.
