His manner may have been a bit brusque, but no one can say Mingus didn't know how to handle the cats.

I totally lost it when I discovered this on the internet several years ago, another testament to Mingus' genius.

It's a 4-step program, so be patient, folks.

    Up.

This is hilarious. I think I'm gonna try it.

If anyone else has, please let us know how successful you were!

Q: 'How do you start free improvising?'
A: 'Well I usually start on D as a matter of fact'

"Thought is not a saffron-robed monk pissing in the snow"

"Bitterness slowly crept into the marriage and by the time Lovborg was six years old his parents exchanged gunfire daily"

    Not Mingus Method, but ...

Successful toilet training. The expression on "Martin's" face while making his 1st deposit is worth the price of admission.

And, there is "Millie", with her owner's training system.

Some Pussy Cat Dues from Mingus Ah Um playing in the background might be encouraging to help get the "job" done.

I showed this to a friend of mine who's a cat owner. He said yeah, he's seen it, but he doesn't want to share his toilet with his cat. Sheesh, what a snob. Next thing he'll tell me, he doesn't want to drink out of the same bowl either.

I know the thing about cat training is from the mingus website, but does anyone know what the original source is? Was it published from somewhere?
