Mike, I'm listening to the Aaron Goldberg interview right now. Good dialogue.
I too thought highly of his set at Monterey Jazz Festival (and my friend George thought that it was THE set of the festival). Cheers, David

Thanks David, much appreciated, especially from someone like you with the broad knowledge of music and being a radio guy.
Having attended the Sunday offerings only at Monterey, the Goldberg set was indeed very strong and a clear favorite.

No transcripts.
Some stations archive although we don't currently [although I can find out if that's possible]
On occasion I've taped a copy for an interested listener...if there's someone scheduled that's a favorite of yours, perhaps we can work that out.OK?
Hi Mike,
I've just joined this forum and discovered this thread. Is there any further talk of archiving interviews? I'd like to hear quite a few of these folks.
Until then, I'll have to record your future shows' last hour.

Hi Chip;
It's very kind of you to ask.
In the last year or so, we went from the cassette tape to digital format.
The station doesn't archive, but I do personally, so there are hundreds of tapes dating back to '98 at my house, and more recently the latest bunch on my hard drive on my PC.

Any chance of you sending an mp3's from hard drive archives?

I had the most pleasant on-air visit this morning with Rebecca Parris.
Towards the end, I mentioned how cool it was to finally meet #1 Fan & daughter Marla at IAJE in January, at which point she did some Mom_bragging, followed by the mention of my younger sister Valerie as well!!

The only thing I'm sorry about was forgetting to listen live via my PC. From this end, it sounded like you were both having an enjoyable, stress-free interview! Rebecca is hoping you are still able to attend her gig Tuesday and if so, I'm sending her out your way with a big hug from me! It was great spending time with you and of course, Valerie at this year's IAJE!
One of these times she's up your way, Mike, and I'm tagging along, I'll make sure to plan some real "hang" time for the three of us.
Marla

Thanks Karen, and thanks for tuning us in!
I thought it went really well.
There was a time when I'd meet most of the musicians and tape our Q&A, and Werner was one of those a number of years ago. We spent a couple of hours together the first time, and have met at various concerts and conventions and the like, which aided in the ease with which we bounced the ball around this morning.
