Its fascinating and often damned odd stuff (in the way that a previous' era's "novelties" often are).

I've not yet the Tosches yet... good?

Tosches turns up lots of information on Miller, more than I ever expected. It's well worth reading.

I liked it, knowing nothing about Miller beforehand. Read it over a year ago so can't go into detail (memory like a sieve).

"Pickaninny Paradise" is ingenious. Beautiful music and frustratingly racist lyrics. Yet incredibly human. Incredibly American. Incredibly Southern. One of my favorite songs.
