The Joan Bennett Thread
She's in two of my all-time favorite films: Suspiria & Scarlet Street. Give up some love for the lady.

And I've never really been that crazy about Joan Bennett, neither from an acting or a looks standpoint. She looks like a mannequin in the picture Uli posted.

Joan Bennett's daughter was a real beauty in her own right, not the same coloring, much lighter hair, a honey blond, and she was so much fun and so nice it made hard to realize she grew up in the Hollywood scene. I can't remember her last name now, but her first name was Melinda, and she married a fellow from the beach, the very handsome pool man, Joe Beana (sic?), who worked the upscale neighborhoods in the whole Los Angeles area, now he had a life!
From all I learned of Joan Bennett, she was a very down to earth nice lady.
The thing is with these really good looking women and men as well, especially the ones with dark hair and natural good looks, a little bit of make up goes a long, long way. They always tended to overdo them. Not playing on their natural beauty.
You know who was very good looking in person? That was Rhonda Flemming. Stunning really.

The Bluegrass
Barbara Stanwyck and Sophia Loren will always, to my eyes, be the most sexy and beautiful women, ever.
Pete -- Bardot may have been a fascist all along.

But that's okay because she loves baby seals.

Bennett could be hot and scary at the same time.
Bright moments - right now!
