A real treat is in store for Queensland jazz fans at the inaugural Brisbane Jazz Festival to be held at the Brisbane Powerhouse on the shady banks of the Brisbane River near beautiful New Farm Park. Curated by the awesomely talented pianist and composer Mark Isaacs (nephew of great British jazz guitarist Ike Isaacs), the festival features a mouth-watering lineup of Aussie jazz artists PLUS the following stunning list of headliners:

- Dave Holland Quintet (!!!)
- German trombonist Nils Wogram and his band Root 70
- Barney McAll Septet featuring American guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel
- Legendary Aussie pianist, bandleader and composer Paul Grabowsky with young singer and songwriter Megan Washington

What a blast this promises to be - I still cannot believe that in less than a month I will be seeing Dave Holland and Robin Eubanks perform in my home town - a dream come true - WOW!!!
