NYS Gov. Paterson and wife had extramarital sex for years
After his inauguration ceremony, New York State Governor David Paterson admits that he his wife had sex with other people during their marriage.
Paterson vehemently denied having fathered a "love child".
The Patersons have two children, a 19-year-old student at Ithaca College who is from his wife's previous marriage, and 14-year-old who attends public school in New York City.

And as long as he wasn't using gov't funds to pay for the hotel room, which is what I think is being investigated.

Not necessarily true. New York may have an adultery statute on the books. Not that I think it's a good idea to actually prosecute anyone based on adultery. I think that's why they invented divorce.

Is it adultery if each knows about the other's flings? I suppose literally it would be but ethically, I wouldn't think so.
