    Glad to see that Apfelbaum NY Hieroglyphics and Ochs and Drum Core are going at it...
    I see there is a Floyd Standifer tribute. Did he pass away?

    Floyd died last year. There was a great local tribute concert honoring him .Clarence Acox ( drums ) still has a group called the Floyd Standiford legacy band that works every week.
    the arrangers best friend is his pencil .. the end with the rubber on it ( E.K.Ellington )

    I'm only 35 and here I am saying "ah, the memories".
    So glad I got into jazz at an early age. I've heard and seen a lot.

    They've outdone themselves with the lineup this year IMHO. Woohoo! Happy 20th!!!!!

    Not one, not two, not three, but four of my favorite pianists: Cecil Taylor, Marilyn Crispell, Georg Græwe and Satoko Fujii (she's playing with Larry Ochs' Drum Core along with Natsuki Tamura).

    Having to pick and choose which shows to go to was a challenge this year...
