Saxophonist, flautist, bandleader, and composer TK Blue's career in jazz began with early tenures performing with artists ranging from Don Cherry to Nadi Qamar to Abdullah Ibrahim. TK continued his development and work performing and living in Paris while making frequent visits to Africa to study music. While living in Paris, TK forged a musical relationship with Randy Weston that has continued to this day. TK has since returned to the United States and recorded a number of solo albums, notably for Arkadia Records, leading his group The TK Blue Quartet.

TK's most recent album, Follow the North Star, features venerable jazz artists including Steve Turre and Onaje Allan Gumbs. To date, the album has received strong reviews from press, with Jazz Improv describing it as “an outstanding work of musical art."
