Discuss (or merely name) things that came with high expectations and turned out to be THAT GOOD.

I was gonna say "lived up to the hype" but the term "hype" usually implies some level of intentional publicizing and exaggeration, and I don't intend this thread to be limited to things/artists/people that were hyped.
