Schlippenbach to replace Guy for Parker trio US tourio

I found out last night from a friend who is booking the Boston show of the Evan Parker trio US tour that Alex von Schlippenbach will be replacing Barry Guy for the tour. Guy will be unable to make the trip due to some personal issues that came up at the last minute. Though it is a drag that Guy won't be along, Schlippenbach is no slouch of a replacement

Very surprising, Michael. I hope that all is well in BG's world, and I also hope that they've had not too much trouble hooking up the piano situation in all the venues. That can be insane.

So Parker/Schlippenbach/Lytton - they should call it the Combo Trio.

I heard this too. While this is a major bummer, I'd jump at any chance to hear Schlip in the flesh.

They're working with organizers to slip into the same dates, far as I know.
