The guy in the poster is in my friend's kickass Zydeco band, Gatorbeat. They play there all the time.

They are great.
I was sorry to see their band leader pass several years ago; the sax player [his name escapes me] took it pretty hard. Still a fun group to hear.

The sax player is my best friend, David Scott. He's now the leader and yeah, it was a big shock.

It was a shock to all of us who know the band's work. I have been a volunteer at the MLJJ and have access to the muscians. I spoke with David the year Richard Domingue died and passed along my sincerest condolences. Tears came to his eyes; I felt so bad for him.
If I see him today, I'll tell him you said, "Hi."

BTW, I heard a marvelous Jazz singer new to the Mammoth Jazz Festival and if you get the chance, give her and her band [Espacio] a listen.
Her name is Karen Marguth and she has a voice which will not quit! I highly recommend her.
Oh and I saw Scott and said "Hi" for you Doug. His eyes just lit up when I mentioned your name
