Is it just coincidence that both those tunes have the word 'Dope' in their titles?

    Oh and I forgot.

The Game (part 1-5 ) Roy Harper.

I know it's a given but I haven't seen Iron Butterfly on the lists, so far. Then perhaps I missed it.

    EDIT

This song comes just under 8 minutes

When an Old Cricketer leaves the Crease . Again , The great Roy Harper.

Unless you have a different version than I do, or appreciating the John Cage like factor....about half of that is silence.

Which versions of the three above are you referring to? Live ones? If so, which albums please!

Comfortably Numb from the live Pulse is near 10 minutes. Does not really work for me.

Similar to my lack of patience for "experimental" music these days I also find myself getting quite annoyed with songs that drag on and on. Unless it's a hypnotic groove you can get lost in. Riders On The Storm would be an example.

I'd throw some Deep Purple in there:

Child in Time and Lazy From Made in Japan.

Not sure if Highway Star is long enough to meet the time requirements. Maybe the live version.

Made in Japan is a great 'un, and for my money the only album by the Purp's worth getting.

Machine Head is a classic and I will admit without embarrassment to having enjoyed Perfect Strangers. Knocking At Your Back Door was just plain good.
