Early MJQ on newly released JATP Seattle 1956

Jazz At The Philharmonic, Seattle 1956 (Acrobat, UK, 2011)

I'm still not finished listening to the first of the two discs, and much of the lineup are JATP regulars, Flip Phillips, Ella, OP, etc

BUT MJQ fans should take note that there are five previously unreleased (I think) tracks from this young group, plus an additional five cuts of the quartet plus a horn section consisting of Sonny Stitt, Stan Getz and Dizzy Gillespie

Thanks for the heads up. This looks like a no brainer, and I am not even much of a fan of the MJQ.

I just ordered a copy from Amazon dot com. It's in mono, but the fidelity is supposed to be stellar.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, 2-CDs for about $13.50 (including s&h) is terrific.
