I can't post in Firefox
Weird. Whenever I try to post from Firefox, my text gets cleared and I get the 'message is too short' error. I'm posting this from Chrome and it works fine. Not a big deal, but other posters might not realize this is a browser-specific issue.

The only way I can think you should be getting that message on a BB is you were posting within a quoted post without adding anything even a simple . outside the quote.
Does it tell you that you need at least one character?
I have used only firefox on here and am doing so right now.

I have text, which is cleared after submitting. The error is "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters.". This happens whether I'm responding or posting right to the thread.
For Lois' tech person: Below the error, I see //--> , which is a closing HTML comment that itself seems to be commented out (// is the in-line comment for both SQL Server and PHP).
I cleared out cache and cookies

Are you using the quick reply option instead of post reply?

Sorry for all the questions. You cleared all the cookies? Did you restart Firefox after disabling adblock? While I am at it....what version of Firefox are you using?
Once again....all my posts in this thread are on Firefox. Of course, I have adblock enabled and using the post reply button....and the latest version of non-beta Firefox.

Each Day Is A Gift.
A new version of FF (13.0.1) released today, which may be related to this issue.

Each Day Is A Gift.
Firefox problematic for me, too!
OK, I've now experienced that problem, too. It appears to be exactly as Sergio described, including the //--> symbols.
Curiously, it happened twice, and each time my post was completed on the 2nd attempt without any changes on my part.

Maybe there are some Canadians and/or Stallones involved.
Trying the quick reply this time.

Are you guys using Windows 7? I noticed on my windows machine that after doing the latest updates the other day, in both FF and chrome, trying to use the browser wouldn't work at all.....when I focused the cursor in the Resource field and prepared to type a URL, a string of random text was automatically inserted into the field. Then I noticed that it happened in all input fields....rendering the browser useless.
I was using windows in a virtual machine (I'm a mac user) so I just got out and used the mac, but I'd never seen such weird behavior before the windows updates....

We hope to be getting to a solution shortly. With the browser upgrades there is some code we need to fix. Sam is working on it. Thanks

Are we all set now with Post Reply (and Edit Post)? Test, test, in FF.
Yes!
Test, test, in IE.
Yes!
Now I have to look at New Thread, because it too had some stray code on top . . .
Yes, in FF and IE!
Thank you, Lois and whoever!
