    R.I.P. - Lol Coxhill

Various sources are reporting the death of this great, great musician. He had been sick for some time.

I only have 4 of his albums, but they are to be treasured.

    He'll be missed.

    R.I.P. Nice obit at guardian.co.uk
I only saw Lol perform once but it was memorable.
The 2002 Empty Bottle Fest in Chicago. A brilliant solo soprano sax set at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, using the acoustics and ambiance of the room to perfection. And an ensemble set at the always noisy and challenging Empty Bottle space with Paul Rutherford and others. Thanks to Martin Davidson for some great documents on Emanem.

Sorry to read this. I was fortunate to see him perform a few times.

Thank you & be well, Mr. Coxhill.
