Odyssey/Unfinished Highballs !!!

When the original reissue of this box was canceled 3 years ago alot including myself were disappointed, but the Unfinished Highballs Portion of this set has made the wait well worth it. Nothing short of revelatory. Large ensemble in a proggy sort of way in spots with a little avant thrown in and at the same time dreamy in spots. ECM/steve lake....you hit a home run with this one.

When Duni was growing up, the singer and composer says she didn't pay much attention to the folk music loved by her grandparents. She went to music school in Switzerland, and there, a pianist friend asked if she knew any traditional Albanian songs. She did not. That sent her on a search to discover the music of her homeland.
