Pete LaRoca - R.I.P.

We have the sad duty to inform you that Pete LaRoca Sims died last night at 2:25 am at Kateri Residence in Manhattan. He was 74 years old. A whole orchestra on the drums, he will be missed by musicians and family alike.

The Tribute Concert to Pete, Friday December 28th at 8 pm at Saint Peter's Church, 54th and Lexington, NYC. will go on

I feel that Pete was a largely under-appreciated drummer. He was tremendously talented. Sad that he's gone so soon.
