Patti Page, the best selling female singer of the 50s, passed away on New Year's Eve at 85. Her version of Pee Wee King's "Tennessee Waltz" was #1 Pop, Country and R&B
a part of my childhood gone. she deserves to Rest in Peace.
Still know the words to several of her hits (and remember her role in film "Elmer Gantry" as well).
I loved her singing as a child, as did my parents. What a presence and sensitivity she had. She was pretty easy on the eyes, too. Photo circa 1958 R.I.P., Patti Page~

Wow, I just discovered this Special Products record produced for Safeway Stores.
She was ubiquitous in the 50s. Kay Starr was better. Neither one was in the same league as Sass or Ella. Buf shit kink is shit kick.
Bright moments - right now!
