    the greatest jazz guitar player is 71!!

    happy b-day!!! john mclaughlin is 71 today. still the greatest after all these years.

    I just checked - Kenny Burrell is 81, not 71.

    Jim Hall has to be in that age category.

    IMHO one of the half-dozen giants in jazz guitar history.

    Lucky you! Martino is just plain astounding, expecially when you consider his past health issue, learning to play all over again. [I caught him way back when he was with McDuff at Connolleys in Boston.]

    That's exactly what I think! It's sad because I'm really not too fond of John's newest album.
