Hi, folks! Those of you on my mailing list already received this greeting but I wish to extend my wishes to the entire JC community. All best to all of you!
Dear Friends, family, and colleagues,
Wolcum Yule! We've made it through the darkest night
and things start getting brighter from here until high
summer.
I trust that means Spring will eventually arrive!
As the year winds down, I want to thank you for your
support over the last year. Thank you to those of you
who came out to hear me sing and play. Thank you to
all who hired me---you helped me feed my family. Thank
you to all with whom I played---your artistry and
dedication inspires me. Thank you to those who bought
CDs, who offered words of encouragement and direction,
or who just held a kind thought or prayed for me.
Thank you for everything!
I wish each and every one of you all the greatest
blessings of the holiday season. May the coming year
bring you peace, joy, and prosperity!
Cookie, the best to you as well.
I was so happy to hear of your great career year and feel sure that it will continue to bring joy to those who see and hear you. I know that your talent will help you put luxurious groceries on your table for many years to come.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
As for me, I wake up every morning, just glad I'm still hangin' in there, chuggin' along.
J.C. and the people who post here have been my friends for several years now and a loyal and tempestuous gang they are, keeping me sane and keeping me real.
The next years are still a mystery, but we all love mysteries, don't we??
My home is fuller this year than it's ever been before, so it'll be a pretty awesome Christmas for me. Hope it is great for all my homeys on the jazz board.
Okay, I'm not actually dancing around singing my head off, but that's how I feel inside.
So far, so good (so fabulous!) on this Christmas Day. I woke to the sound of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" played on the recorder Joe received from Santa. How sweet (and major gratitude to his music teacher and the recorder program for 4th and 5th graders at his school)!
We all received marvelous presents. We sat around the table and opened gifts from "from away" first. Then we took a break, called Grandma to say thanks, cleaned up the kitchen and then started in on our gifts to and from each other.
Right now, we're just chillin' in our pj's. I'm listening to my #1 pianist Dave Solazzo spin Christmas tunes on WAER in Syracuse. He just found a couple of my requests. He's picking some killer stuff. They have a nice collection of Christmas jazz.
So anyway, thanks for your wishes, all. They're workin'!
Ron: that 21 seconds means the world to me!!! Thanks for the report!
