Stefon Harris & Blackout
Along with fellow Corner Hanger MicahW dug Stefon Harris and his band Blackout.Marc Cary on piano, Darryl Hall on Bass and Terreon Gully on drums.Band was tighter than Grannie's hat band.Stefon brought the straight-ahead uncut jazz with a nice layer of funk.Cary was coming like Hancock and Gully like Williams.Darryl Hall holding his own on the bass. They played alot of the new disc (which he sold that night and I got the entire band to autograph). How great is that? Some of the highlites where thier version of "Summertime","Blackout" and a Sting cut "Until".Great set, great disc and a great hang with my Bro MicahW.Peace and all that.

Stefon is the bomb!
He's been kind enough to come on my show and has been a regular visitor to the San Jose area.
I saw him and got to hand with him a little in February when he did a lunch-time concert at San Jose State, to a full auditorium that he surprized with how talented, hip, and exciting his music was!
