Help with Andrew Hill Orgy: Russell Baba, Clifford Scott, Dave Shipp

Anyone have a copy of Russell Baba's 1992 "Earth Prayer" (Ruba Music) that they'll send away for a week? Or, alternatively, could you burn/rip a copy so that my Andrew Hill program will be complete? The same goes for any of the four 1958 Clifford Scott records and the Dave Shipp Cds on VeeJay recorded in 1954, both featuring AH.

The Andrew Hill Orgy will air throughout next week on 95.3fm WHRB in Cambridge, Ma (streaming on the web at whrb.org):

    Mon 5/3 5am-10.30am
    Tue 5/4 5am-4.30pm
    Wed 5/5 7am-1pm
    Fri 5/7 midnight-midnight (ALL DAY!)

    Thanks!
    Ryan

PS. Anyone into the Braxton Andrew Hill Ensemble discs on CIMP? I'm curious.

Can't help you, but thanks for the tip. I love orgy season and I'm way in the mood for a megadose of Andrew Hill. Especially Spiral, which I haven't heard in years because I loaned my vinyl to someone who trashed it and I haven't found it on CD.

I have the Baba and the Braxton CDs. Have not listened to either in a while, but I remember thinking the Braxton CDs were interesting, if nothing else because Hill's music is not often played by anyone other than Hill, and these are essentially quartet dates with guitar instead of piano. I don't think Hill recorded with guitar himself.

You may already have it. . .but if you do not I'll happily send you that Johnny Hartman/Andrew Hill lp off VGM which on the b-side features solo Hill in adventurous form.
