"C" Artists
Those who may not be in tune with Ollie's knack for slow motion or those who may wish to multitask can now start posting " C" pictures.
I start with suberb John Constable's allegoric "The Cenotaph to Reynolds Memory"

ps fuck it.Some of you may be better multitaskers. I can't get the image link right nor delete that post.

This was quite anti-social of you, Uli. The "slow" pace had the benefit of giving some breathing space to each letter, especially given the high bandwidth the threads take up, and how much information there is for readers to parse. By your logic, I presume you'd prefer all the letters be available at once? I for one liked both the measured pace and the long-term anticipation of seeing the threads appear over most of the year.
If this thread sticks, I request posters withhold from jumping the gun on future letters. I'll wait to see if this thread remains before posting any Cs.

Vince, one of the easily anticipated problems whenever I begin a thread that proves popular is that Uli will come along and try to disrupt it. Comes with the territory. Like you, I think giving people a chance to leisurely contemplate one set at a time is a good idea. I was thinking of beginning the "C" thread on Monday and I'll still wait until then to post. In the meantime, it's a free country and discussion board.

As an avid and even rabid viewer of these threads, can I make a heartfelt request? Can we have an official "ending" of the B's --(let's say by Brian and/or a couple of other people who really know this stuff) and then start with the "Cs". I'm really afraid I won't be able to keep up with both. I've been spending waaaay too much time on JC lately. What do you all think? My work will really appreciate it.

Mary, what if we think of or find something later for one of the earlier threads?

Mary, a thread is a never ending proposition. However, I do prefer more time between courses. I say let's have a banquet, not a buffet.
Uli, on that first one you must have edited the url, perhaps inadvertently, since the file extension said .ipg. If you change it to .jpg you get this:

I know Tip! What to do, what to do! Maybe start a new thread called "Bs" I just thought of? But please, can someone call for an "official" end of the Bs and "Gentlemen, start your Cs"? Bri, Monday is good for me. I'm thinking of giving up the B and C threads for my last day of Lent--really making a sacrifice.

Uli you're too cool of a person I think to prolong this vendetta of yours. Will you please change your avatar back or to something else? Please, will you? It's disappointing that you would take my idea to disrespect someone that I am fond of.

C'mon, lotsa great C's. We'll see what people come up with over the weekend. Takes too long for me to post pics from home, so I'll wait. It is sort of an appropriate time to post Dali's 'Last Supper', though.....but my cholesterol is high enough. ;-)

Another Colescott. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an image of his "Shirley Temple Black".

I have a re-occurring Christo-related nightmare -- I'm covered by a bed sheet and I can't get out.
