"F" Artists
Okey-doke.
An all-time favorite of mine by a painter who coulda been a contender had he not been in the wrong place when an arms depot blew up. Carel Fabritius.

Finally! (I'm holding my fire on El Greco assuming that is G rather than E).
Lucian Freud - one of my favourite artists. Here's a sampler - more later time permitting.

And his portait of Francis Bacon

Freud's seriously impressive.

Jeez, not many people like the F's...
This guy may have done only one great painting in his life, but it's a winner. Caspar David Friedrich.

An artist whose work I first discovered during one of my many trips to the Montreal Jazz Festival - Marc-Auréle Fortin. For those going to the festival, there's a nice gallery housing his works in Old Montréal.
