DE LAFAYETTE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ENTERTAINMENT, MUSIC, JAZZ AND PERFORMING ARTS (2007-2012) 1st EDITION

Thematic and Biographical Encyclopedia of Singers, Performers, Musicians and the Arts. Published by the Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing Artists (FAMSPA) and Times Square Press.

1st EDITION (2007-2012). FROM MUSICAL SOUNDS AS THEY WERE PRODUCED NINE MILLENNIA AGO TO THE LATEST GIGS IN MANHATTAN AND HOLLYWOOD EXTRAVAGANZAS. 10 VOLUMES, 1 YEARBOOK ANNUALLY. 4,000 PAGES. SIZE 8.25 x 11.00. THOUSANDS OF ENTRIES, ILLUSTRATIONS AND PHOTOS. AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE.

The Encyclopedia encompasses all aspects and chronological developments of music and entertainment around the globe; from the discovery of the Jiahu flutes that presents the most remarkable and rare opportunity for anthropologists, musicians and the general public to hear musical sounds as they were produced nine millennia ago, to the silky and sensuous voice of the most recent jazz singers and talent discovery of the season.

De Lafayette Encyclopedia Of Entertainment, Music, Jazz And Performing Arts (2007-2012) 1st Edition - 10 Volumes, 4,000 pages plus The Yearbook by Maximillien De Lafayette. THE WORLD WHO'S WHO IN JAZZ, CABARET, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT (6 volumes, 3 are published) gave birth to the Thematic and Biographical Encyclopedia of Singers, Performers, Musicians and the Arts.

INCLUSION: The inclusions, biographically and thematically, were carefully selected and decided upon by the editorial board, music historians, and critics who are members of the Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing artists. This is the first universal encyclopedia exploring the world of singers, divas, musicians, composers, showbiz, entertainment, and music, both thematically (in-depth articles and studies) and biographically. Although it is academic and traditional in its structure, the concept is certainly more exciting and interesting. That is because the author included personalities, people, rising stars, worthy of public recognition based upon their merits and outstanding accomplishments that were left out of relatively similar published work and ordinary encyclopedias.

THE AUTHOR: International best-selling author, and world leading authority on entertainment and performing arts, Maximillien de Lafayette wrote 105 books, 3 encyclopedias, 2 world premiere musicals (one play was produced at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., USA) and 10 volumes on divas, cabaret, jazz and entertainment. Fluent in 7 languages, playwright, director-producer, syndicated columnist and entertainment critic who has visited 46 countries, de Lafayette is in a privileged position to bring to us the known and hidden world of stars, divas, singers, composers and ultimate musicians. His columns, articles and books are read by more than 20 million readers around the globe. His latest international best-seller is "Entertainment: Divas, Cabaret, Jazz Then and Now". It hits the top chart, the world 25 most popular items on the international market of Amazon. Uk.com on November 17, 2006. He currently lives in Paris and London. PERFORMING ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, DANCERS, SINGERS AND ENTERTAINMENT PERSONALITIES OF THE 21st CENTURY.

OFFICIAL PUBLIC INVITATION TO BE INCLUDED IN VOLUME V OF WORLD WHO’S WHO IN JAZZ, CABARET, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT.

New York, New York- The Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing Artists (FAMSPA) and Timessquarepress jointly published this year 4 volumes of the series World Who’s Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment. The 2007 series consists of 6 massive volumes and the Yearbook. So far, 30,000 names, entries and biographies were included in the four previous volumes. The most recently published volume was: Showbiz, Pioneers, Best Singers, Entertainers and Musicians from 1606 to the Present (800 photos).

In the past, inclusion was strictly by invitation. This process has changed now in virtue of numerous requests received from singers, musicians and performing artists from around the world, and to a certain extent following complaints from professionals who were not included in the World Who’s Who. Effective May 14, 2007, performing artists, dancers, singers, musicians, and members of the showbiz and entertainment industries can directly apply for inclusion in the forthcoming volumes and complete the Inclusion Application Form posted at the website of the Federation ( federationofamericanmusicianssingersandperformingartists.org ), by emailing Carol Lexter at carollexter@aol.com and/or writing to Federation of American Musicians, Singers and Performing Artists, PO Box 869, New York, New York 10009, USA.

CLASSICAL, TRADITIONAL AND FREE FORM DANCE, CHOREOGRAPHY AND JAZZ DANCE: CORE OF VOLUME V OF THE WORLD WHO’S WHO IN JAZZ, CABARET, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT

The editorial board is currently working on Volume V and is accepting new inclusion applications submitted by professionals from the United States and foreign countries. Volume V is innovative and challenging, because it encompasses multiple and diverse forms and aspects of performing arts. In addition to mainstream music, cabaret and Jazz, Volume V has a very strong emphasis on dance ranging from Jazz dance and free form to traditional, classical, ethnic, ballroom and ballet. Therefore, dancers and performing artists (worldwide) are encouraged to apply for inclusion and to submit their biographies, description of their career highlights, photos, and information pertaining to their performances, appearances and activities. Volume V shall be published within 3 months and made available to the general public in mid August 2007. The title of Volume V is: PERFORMING ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, DANCERS, SINGERS AND ENTERTAINMENT PERSONALITIES OF THE 21st CENTURY.
