Total mindfart, Derek! It was the first thing in my mind (what's left of it) when I began the list. Thanks for the rude awakening.
Please insert:
Anthony Braxton - 23 Standards (quartet) 2003
Subtract:
King Crimson - The ProjeKcts

Miles Plugged Nickel-- yes, the Rosetta Stone of jazz.
Coltrane Village Vanguard
Miles Complete Columbia Studio
Coltrane Impulse
Brownie Emarcy
Tilbury All Piano (Feldman)
Andrew Hill Blue Note (own the individuals)
Mingus - Complete Atlantic
This would have beaten them all if it had existed:
Complete Cecil Taylor with Jimmy Lyons recordings
The one that would have been too much:
100 CD Masada Box, once rumored been subsequently shelved.

Even better are the hard-to-find bootlegs of the 1967 European tour. I have Antwerp & Paris, courtesy of the good graces of a certain person. In 1965 Miles was not in tip top form, due to terrible hip problems. The band by 1967 was a monster, plus Davis WAS in excellent form by then. I'd give a nut to obtain the entire 6 cds floating around out there. Here are the dates:
Miles Davis - Miles-Trees.Org presents 1967 Europe (6 CDs with artwork)
CD1 1967.10.28 - Antwerp
CD2 1967.10.30 - Rotterdam + 1964.10.06 - Helsinki + 1967.11.01 - Helsinki
CD3 1967.11.02 - Copenhagen + 1967.11.01 - Helsinki + 1967.11.07 - Karlsruhe
CD4 1967.11.04 - Berlin + 1967.10.31 - Stockholm
CD5 1967.11.06 - Paris
CD6 1967.11.07 - Karlsruhe

I'd add the Tristano / Konitz / Marsh Atlantic Sessions Mosaic.

I don't have it, but I am pretty sure I'm going to get the Tal Farlow Mosaic box real freaking soon.

JBW, this is so true for me as well. Just the Savoy and Dial master takes would have been enough for me.

5) 2 Ts for a lovely T
6) Andrew Hill Mosaic Blue Note
7) Thelonius Monk Complete Riverside
Bill Evans
8) The Last Waltz (though it could equally be the Consecration box, the Turn Out the Stars box, or The Secret Sessions box)
Keith Jarrett
