The Pharoah Sanders feature on the set (I think it's called "Preview," the only not called a "Communication" and the shortest track) is Sanders at his most mind-blowing fierce.

For the 1st time in its final form, I'm enjoying the 3rd album from graypencil, aka Phil Kelly.

Wonderful stuff, as always! And, the band is impeccable, as usual.

This would make someone very happy at Christmas or anytime.

Was Da Ist is a great one Jeffrey. Clearly your tastes in music are considerably more worthwhile than your views on political issues.

The 'sheesh has been most recently listening to the following rave picks:

I Can See Your House From Here - John Scofield & Pat Metheny
Friday & Saturday Night at the Blackhawk - Miles Davis
In East Berlin - Cecil Taylor

A real old school glory - The Real McCoy. From time to time in the real world one can forget just how essential this album is.

Masada Quartet - Dalet. Limited edition - what was all the fuss about?

..and c) you shouldn't 'coz the packaging is poor: most of the paper seleeve covers tend to burst open easily, you'll find glue on the discs and the box itself won't survive the tranportation from rack to couch and back unless you refrain from opening it

Plus they used the old stuff, no new remasters
Typical christmas rip-off
This could have been a very nice thing, : some neat digipacks LP cover-look-alikes, state-of-the-art remastering, a box to sustain the next couple of decades. Instead they do the old "all-must-go" scenario, less than 3 bucks a disc
Hey there Columbia: I wish you a zillion illegal torrents of Kind of Blue to get you a "Blue Christmas" in compensation

of course Jeffrey's political views are not worthwhile because they are different than the norm around her - egads

this morning it will be some left-wing radical improvisation of some sort...

I should give up on my music because many of the musicians disagree with my world viewpoints - which are, of course, not worthwhile either

I just choose not to engage around here because of the intolerance to anything outside of radical extremism that guys like me are accused of....
