SummerStage presents a sneak preview and the New York debut of Martin Scorsese's "The Blues," featuring excerpts from interpretive films directed by Scorsese, Charles Burnett, Clint Eastwood, Mike Figgis, Marc Levin, Richard Pearce and Wim Wenders. The series, sponsored by Volkswagen of America, will air this fall on PBS.

Fenley’s repertoire will include two trios, 331 inspired by Japanese tea ceremony and Delta, with a score by John Cage, and also Water Music inspired by the text and music of Joy Harjo.
