waking up with the sun

no birds this morning that I can hear as of yet

best week of my life

and still no job?

possible?

probably was the best week of my life

the job to make money to support my life will come

I said to someone who is a walking miracle of life that I always wanted to be a school teacher - he told me that I am a teacher - what better thing that I could do with the rest of my life than to have even a small part in teaching some people who don't know that life could exist like this to live.

today I am actually doing something that matters for maybe the first time in my life - spreading a little bit of the joy that I have to others - two people told me that they loved me this week - one was a beautitul girl of 23 - more beautiful on the inside than on the outside - which is saying something - but a young lady that personfies my dreams in life - who knows what tomorrow will bring - but for the first time in a long time - I am alive and free. whatver she meant by saying that is not really important - but it is beyond words for me - it isn't the type of sick love that controlled my life for so long...and, no this is not what some might think, I am still a married man

and to have that other friend say that he is proud of me - I thought that I would never have someone like that tell me something like that

don't know why I wanted to write these things on this screen today, but I did

June 16th, 2005 & Jube 19th, 2005

2 days in june

peace and blessings

Stevie, man, I have no idea what all it was you were going through the last year or two, but I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see ya back here preaching all this wisdom again.

I am listening to "Window", from Dave Douglas' Bow River Falls, with Louis Sclavis on clarinet, and there are birds singing in the background of the piece. Perfect accompaniement to your post.

Enjoy it while you can!

Mike-

that cloud has already passed, I think

what I am feeling these days (good and bad) is real

hope you are well

no sun today, but inside I am filled up

hopefully tonight I will see a beautiful smiling face

doing anything about it would be like diving into a pool with about 6 inches of water head first - so I am staying within myself for today

Don't give up on that kind just yet, Steve!

Seriously, man, it's good to see you in high spirits and doing well. As the major influence on your Red Sox winning the World Series last year, I take great joy in being a contributor to a good turn of events in your life.

Never missing an opportunity to pat himself on the back, even via nebulous claims of dubious validity,

"Tis better by far to live humbly for a cause than to die nobly for one."

It's impossible to do always great things... it's much better to do simple things with greatness.

I don't wanna pee on Lenny's Reyolds Day Parade, BUT....... I must add that it's much greater to always do impossible things with better simplicity .

I'd love to hear a composer on this board write some music to accompany this edit of Steve's lovely post. It begs to be performed.

Steve,

Have you considered relocating?

For me to find a job, I had to move some 250 miles away from my home.

Hang in, my friend....something will turn up, I promise you.

no - not relocating

the job is going to come in time

some things are more important these days - although I am putting in the effort on the workl front - but I will not leave my friends nor will I leave my new place near the city.

June 16th, baby!!!

plus there are other issues

Steve -- Though I see it a bit too often for my tastes -- the dogs get my ass up each day as soon as the sky grays -- this year was the first time ever that I actually longed for daylight savings time :-0 -- sunrise is a great time of the day to be up and about.

I like it especially if I get to enjoy it alone, in quiet.

Past few days, spring has really hit here, full force. All of the snow is gone apart from patches in the woods that are still too shaded. The streams and rivers are running hard, bordering on flooding. A few nights ago while finishing up the barn work, I heard the waterfall in the ravine behind our barn for the first time in many months, running free ... finally ... the ice melted and gone. A couple of mornings ago, after finishing up, I took the puppies down there, where I used to bring my beloved Ridgebacks every day, so they could check it out, as this is their very first spring, both having been summer born. There's a great stone there where I like to sit and watch and listen to the water, while the dogs do their thing.

More songbirds are back, each day, also, and the deer herd's moving about again, during the day, as they're hungry from having been yarded up all winter.

Nice time of year except for the relentless mud.

an interview next week with the first company I ever worked for after school. I worked there from 1982 to 1985 - and I actually met my wife there

I am doing just wonderful this morning - took a walk this morning at around 7:00 - sure wish I saw Joe Maneri last night - but I had an incrediblw day nonetheless - I still have June 16th to look forward to as far as music - and if I get a job - maybe a night or two with Misha next month

life is treating me well - even if I only have about a dollar in my pocket - boy do perceptions change when one can wake up to the birds and the sun with a smile on one's face

peace and blessings
