Love Chris Rock. What is "never scared", a new stand up tape?

Rock is great, but I think Chapelle is better. I loved his skit with the blind black man who was a high-ranking member of the Klan who thought he was white, and nobody was the wiser until someone lifted his hood. Then he divorced his wife because he "didn't want to be married to no n-word lover".
And how about his dramatization of the Charlie Murphy/Rick James stories?
Classic stuff.

Chappelle also had a great sketch where he went around with Jon Mayer (sp?) in a "sociological study" of how different races react to the sound of a guitar solo. As in, they went in a boardroom full of white people, and they all started dancing. They went in a barbershop in Harlem and they all stopped working and told him to get the fuck out.
I thought "Never Scared" was pretty good, but there were a couple of so-so sections, which was unusual for Rock. Probably my least favorite of his feature hour-long stand-up videos. The first couple are absolute classics.

Frankiepopgoesthedamnweasel,
I give Mr. Rock credit for not doing a Bob Hope/Johnny Carson "have my joke writers phone it in" rendition at the Oscars. He's definitely better than Eddie Murphy, who's now a sliver of his former self. Chappelle has eclipsed all of them, but Mr. Rock remains a real funny dude.

Chris Rock's stand up makes me laugh, no question. But why does he feel it is necessary to yell the whole time? I find it somewhat distracting, though not so much that he isn't hilarious.

Chris Rock oughta buy every dvd and vhs of Dogma and totally destroy them. I have no idea why Kevin Smith turned into such an absolute moron when he came up with the unbelievably shitty, stupid lines that wasted Rock's talent.
