Where's Stonemonkts?

He hasn't posted since the 18th of March which is unlike him. I hope he's ok and only staying away to avoid the endless temptation of the WAYLT threads.

Anyone heard from him?

JBW--

Now, there's a gorgeous avatar. Whose work is it?

(We can expect all of Jesse's avatars to be gorgeous.)

Vince, that's JBW's current avatar. See #1.

I was explaining why I didn't mention Jesse's avatar. Sorry if that was confusing.

Thanks Jesse. I'm glad he's ok!

Rita: my avatar is of the album cover of 154 by Wire from 1979. Wire are an English punk/post punk band who to my way of thinking are one of the best exponents of this type of music. They're a band who has a rush of creativity and then disbands, then does it again. They're well into their third such cycle right now and all three periods have been vastly different. According to AMG, the artist/art director is David Dragon for 154 and the other two classic albums from Wire's first period; Pink Flag and Chairs Missing.

I never do this, but, yeah, I did check the date for Stonemonkts last post even before this thread emerged.
Why, I thought, has Stonemonkts left us? Something's wrong with his internet connection? Somebody stole his computer? Did he go to see someone far, far away from the maddening crowd and electricity with flat batteries and no cell phone? Maybe he was busy rewatching the great films he has acquiered recently or may be he just pissed because he was called a rat for supplying thoughtful content for free. He's probably not pissed. He would know shit from Shinola.
Reading books and living life.

I like Stone too, but I don't think I've ever mention it. I hope it doesn't make him stay away longer.

I'm eager for Pat to start posting again, if only to know that someone else is spending much more money on CDs than I am.

I'm about to be back at JC since I'm coming back from a long lay off, and Stone better be around so we can get the poker thread happening again.

Our poker thread is a good example of what JC can be at its best in my opinion.

yeah and don't do that again. Not really. It's just the world is screwy enough without missing the JC rocks. It's discombobulating I tell ya.
