Philatelists
It has come to my attention that they allow known philatelists to teach in American public schools, and I am nearly mute with outrage. Can you imagine, these filthy motherfuckers and their filthy habits, licking shit and holding forth on their filth *in our schools*? *Before our children*?
This shit has to be stamped out and I mean now.

Gary, you made me laugh out loud. You brought back a memory from long ago. Years ago when I lived in a three family house in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, Ct. (Just starting out ) there was this elderly cat that lived in the apartment on the first floor of the house. I didn't know it at the time but the poor fellow was suffering from dementia. Apparently he wanted to make a connection. So, when I was putting out the weekly garbage he collared me and asked me if I was a philatelist. Well, being the jokster that I am I said, "Who the fuck are you calling a philatelist. You don't even know me, pal! Who the fuck do you think you are?" I'm thinking the cat is gonna laugh out loud but instead he gets all bent out of shape and starts stuttering. He starts apologizing and I realize that he's not all there. I've learned from that experience that one should probably develop a relationship with someone before you decide to pull a gag on 'im...................

Monte -- I don't know. I'm not a philatelist. Don't believe in it. It ain't natural, licking things and then, worse, saving them. Fucking cousins, that's a different question. Entirely natural. They royal families have been doing it for centuries, with obvious results.

None. At least not any more so than with any other mumbo jumbo.
Cousin fucking is also a longstanding pastime in the "heartland," let's remember.
It's more American than apple pie. Or even mom.

Not that *I'm* a philatelist, but I think the last thing a *real* philatelist would do is to lick a collectable stamp. I think that would destroy its collectability.

It's time that someone pointed out that with the majority of stamps in the world being released with adhesive backs, the pain and shame of philatelic licking has been consigned to the ash heap of history.
With Communism.

The line was "dustbin." If you're going to use a cliche, use it correctly.
Communism has never existed in modern times, apart from certain tribal groupings here and there which managed to survive into them, relatively intact.
Since you bring up Trotsky, he would have you, also, at least be accurate. He never made a claim, nor did any of the old Bolsheviks, that the USSR was communist, or even socialist. They didn't believe that either society could exist in one country. Only Stalin and his minions put that line forward.

I'll bet, however, that if he was one of those goldarned philatelists, he gave up the disgusting practice for the revolution, as Lenin did chess.

Absolutely, I haven't the ambition that Gary has: he sees cousin lovin' as putting him in line for the British throne or something. Yuk yuk yuk. Ah, but I gotta lay off of him. That was a bold and courageous confession and I need to respect it. Titter. I need to force...myself...to respect...unnh.

Some of my friends are philatelists, but if you think I'd let them near my sister. . .

I thought this thread was about the Dali exhibit in Philatedelphia.
