"Miles Electric - Another Kind of Blue"

Saw this in a theatre last night. A pretty good documentary overall. It's based around his 1970 performance at the Isle of Lucy festival with Gary Bartz, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette and Airto. The performance was only 38 minutes long, so they spend an almost an hour showing clips of other Miles' performances (including a short part of one from the Steve Allen show with the classic 60's quintet. There were also interviews with all the guys in the band from the 1970 concert along with Herbie Hancock, Pete Cosey (what a wildman!), Joni Mitchell, Mtume, Dave Liebman and (arghh} Herr Crouch. Crouch was is annoying contrarian self, but the music presented in the documentary does a great job dispelling his argument that Miles sold out.
