Tooting Her Own Flute

"A story I did for our award winning weekly news/information program, WBGO JOURNAL, will air this Friday, May 23 from 6:30--7pm. More than likely it will run towards the end of the show but not definite about that. The piece is about Jan Leder, a jazz flute player, who works in hospitals and nursing homes in and around NYC playing her flute for patients. Working in between jazz gigs (Playing clubs, composing and preparing for her third recording) at these various healthcare facilities she is providing for her family, bringing a welcome diversion to the sick and elderly and showing other jazz musicians the real work possibilities that exist. I hope you can all tune in, if not you can hear ANY WBGO JOURNAL programs on our web site at wbgo.org After they air. Thanks.......John Cooper WBGO

They called it "SOOTHING SOUNDS FOR THE ILL " and I think John did a great job.
