Plainly, we have no recourse but to foam at the lips and cause tumult. Otherwise, the people who differ from us in regard to our most local preferences win. Riot, I say! Riots are a strange phenomenon, it seems the poorer the participating populace the more violent the riot. I remember the LA Riot after the Rodney King trial...that was scary. It seems to occur when the populace senses a particularly strong wrongdoing, but the populace has no means by which to voice the frustration. Oddly enough it can follow a sports victory, though usually those riots are not fatally violent.

I remember when UCLA won the basketball title with Tyus Edney there was a riot in Westwood...well, actually it was a party until the riot cops marched everyone off the streets and started shooting tear gas.

One thing I've always wondered. Whenever you see an anti-American protest overseas they're always burning American flags. Where do they get all those flags? Right now, if I wanted to run out and get an American flag I wouldn't know where to get one. Home Depot? Lowe's? Target?

For some reason I have a hard time imagining the scene in which the check list is:

Guns,
Knives,
Improvised explosives
Vehicle of some kind to load with the explosives
People to wear inprovised explosive devices.
Gasoline
Various and sundry weapons and remembering to cover their faces with some sort of houndstooth checked scarf, available in a rainbow of colours.

AN AMERICAN FLAG just in case there are news photographers in attendance and a statue or some other recognizeable symbol of oppression to drape it over, or a crowd to gather around the ceremonial burning of an Amercan flag on a downtown street and report on that.
