May 20, 2005; Monterey, California; Bidding has commenced for the Monterey Jazz Festival’s 2005 Front Box Auction with 4 seats up for bid. However, time is short and bidders have less than two weeks – until June 1st – to claim the coveted seats.
Every year, enthusiastic jazz fans have the opportunity to win four of the best seats in the house: the front center box seats in the Lyons Stage Arena of the Monterey Jazz Festival presented by MCI. This year’s winners will be able to virtually wipe the sweat off the brows of Tony Bennett, Sonny Rollins, Branford Marsalis and other stellar Lyons Stage performers. The auction package includes the front box seats plus one parking pass, four VIP Artist Bar Passes, and four Souvenir Magazines.
Proceeds from the auction benefit the Monterey Jazz Festival’s Jazz Educational programs, including the Traveling Clinicians Program, Monterey Summer Jazz Camp, and other outreach projects that change the lives of youth through music education.
