Thanks, mke. It's a lot easier if things are co-ordinated.

Isn't it, though?

So I'll be seeing you there?

I will just attempt the Grand'Place for Aka Moon.
IF the weather is fair (no cold, no rain) as I will be with the family.

Well, we will meet also Uli there?

I spoke with Ken V. last night.
Great disappointement, when he tolds me (tears in his eyes) than they have NO jazz marathon back in Chicago (it's seems, if I understand well, but my english is so bad that it's to windy up there for this kind of manifestation).

What, you're not going to see Rêve d'Eléphant???

In any case, I'll attempt to find someone I don't know in the middle of the inevitable throng. Wish me luck!

Sorry, I can't make it. But at least you guys know beforehand thru co-ordination.

Not quite sure what a jazz marathon is but we have a "Club Crawl" in Chicago.

"Tears in his eyes"? That's a bit of an over-reaction, isn't it? Had he been drinking before-hand? In any case, Brussels has NO Ken Vandermark or Hamid Drake or Fred Anderson or...

Yesterday, saw AKA Moon twice, first at 7.30 at the Grand' Place (open-air), then around 12.30 at the Sounds (club). Always fun.

The main course was the Rêve d'Eléphant Orchestra, about which I can never say too many good things. Simply fabulous. Their second album should be coming out in a year. Too long a wait, IMO. In the meanwhile go order their CD!

If you order the 10-CD "Finest in Belgian Jazz" box while you're at it, you shouldn't be disappointed either, as it covers a lot of stylistic ground.

Sorry m.k.e.

I was at the Aka Moon set (already started when arrived) but far from the stage and, when the rain start to fell, I've live the place than my baby boy didn't get a cold.

Aka sound good with the piano player (was it Fabrice Fiorini?).

I must give you some explanation for the Foschia CD burn.
The program on my comput. doesn't give good result. So I took it to a friend who has gone for sometimes in Poland before than I got the CD back.

As he returns this weekend it won't take long.
I contact you as soon as I get it.

Fabian Fiorini. First time I've seen him with them, but he did sound good. Saw them later at the Sounds, unfortunately without Fiorini.

Thanks for all your efforts! I actually know your Polish friend. Last time I saw him was at Jazz à Liège.
