Benefit for the Jazz Gallery

Through the generosity of others, it turns out that the marvelous concert scheduled for TUESDAY, JUNE 17TH, as part of the JVC Jazz Festival---in honor of Frank Wess and Joe Wilder--will be conducted as a benefit for The Jazz Gallery, with proceeds from the concert donated to us in recognition both of our unique service to the jazz community and (as a nonprofit in times of severe cutbacks to arts funding) our difficult financial circumstances. We thank the sponsors of the event in advance and each of you for your purchase of tickets to the concert (get them while they're still available!). The concert will feature performances by BILL CHARLAP, JON FADDIS, ROY HARGROVE, WINARD HARPER, ANTONIO HART, JIMMY HEATH, RUSSELL MALONE, RUFUS REID, RENEE ROSNES, WARREN VACHE, PETER WASHINGTON, KENNY WASHINGTON and PHIL WOODS...as well as appearances by the honorees: Frank Wess and Joe Wilder. Concert starts at 8:00 PM in the Danny Kaye Play! house at Hunter College (Lexington & 68th) All tickets are $40.
