Any Wine Club Members out there?

Personally, I am a member of two different wine clubs.

One is winery direct [Castoro Cellars] and the other is the Wine of the Month Club.

You?

A few years ago I was given a gift membership to the wine if the month club, most of the wine they sent was so-so. My taste in wine is red wine from Bordeaux and Burgundy, which I purchase En Primeur also known as Wine Futures. Here in Manhattan there is no shortage of interesting wine shops to explore and purchase everyday (drinkable on purchase) wines.

How is winery direct? What are your favorite wines?

Goody has an affinity for screw-top wines.

Just kidding.

I don't belong to a wine club. I used to rely heavily on Dr. Dave's recommendations, especially in the area of good, low cost wines. But then he moved to Carolinny.

and also to purchase "special occasion" wines. Occasionally I order direct from a winery, but living here, I don't see any direct benefit of belonging to a wine club.

I'm looking for a gentleman who would like to take me to a wine club. We could have so much fun. Anyone?

I like winery direct clubs especially from a winery I enjoy a lot. Castoro Cellars is very consistant and has a huge selection of wines to choose from. Plus, they are located about a two hour's drive from my house in the Central Coast wine region of California.

I prefer reds, but of that group I like big, bold Cabernets, jammy Zins and fruity Syrahs.

Castoro does a great job on flexibilty on varietals and their prices won't break the bank, so to speak.
