Stan Tracey / Evan Parker - Crevulations

Been listening a lot to this one--I'm surprised how delicate & refined Tracey is here, almost "classical" in sound at times; when I've heard him play "straight" jazz he often has plunk-&-jolt odd-angle Monkish feel. The disc starts off relatively austerely, & seems to introduce more jazz-based referencepoints gradually--even Parker's big tenor solo spotlite feature on the last track turns out to be in unusually tonal territory for him. I've been enjoying this one quite a bit. Haven't heard the previous studio disc by Tracey & Parker to compare--maybe someone else here can take a stab?

A question: anyone able to gloss "crevulation"? A little internet searching suggests it's an invention of Thurber's in "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" but the copy of the story I found online lacks the word. (Believe it or not I'd never read it before.) I note that Tracey used the word in the title of a track on a 1964 album--"Let Them Crevulate". So a little in-joke, I guess.
