Tunes you would pay $100 to never hear again

"Takin' Care of Business"
"Lust For Life"

Unfortunately, I only have $200 to spare right now.

C'mon people - Starship's "We Built This City". Or wait, maybe that's in the $1000 category.

Almost anything by the Beach Boys
A large section of the Rolling Stones catalog

Hey, that's a good song. Of course, I'd never heard it until earlier this year, so I'm far from being sick of it.

I especially agree with the last three on this list. Whenever Crocodile Rock comes on the radio again (or, for that matter, Takin' Care of Business), I ask myself "Who out there, after all the times this song has been played, wants to hear this shit YET AGAIN?" And then I think that whoever that person is, they need to be shot.

We picked up a few of the first batch of The Muppet Show DVDs when they first came out, including the one with Elton John all dressed up singing his mid-70s material, including Crocodile Rock.

So my then-four-year old and I are standing in line at Dunkin's for a cookie (for her) and a large iced heroin and Crocodile Rock comes on the radio, and Anna says "Daddy! It's Elton John!" So the song has a sentimental place in my heart. But it still sucks, for the most part.

Well, try playing "Money" everyday for the next 6 months ... then get back to us.

Steve Miller had a number of good albums before "Fly Like an Eagle". Especially the first two, "Children of the Future" & "Sailor", when Boz Scaggs was still in the group.

Steve Miller never did anything good in his life when it came to music, as far as my ears are concerned.

Floyd's Money is a perfect choice. ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man has to be a contender, too.

Theoretical question: if everyone winds up on Dolan's ignore list, will JC cease to exist?

Some trivia:

The "Love Shack" actually does exist. According to my wife, it's a real dive. Also, the Atlanta Highway is nowhere near Atlanta.

I like that song, by the way. "Tiiiiiin Roof..... Rusted!"
