Name our Steely Dan band...

We are a Steely Dan tribute band in the Boston area. We dont have a name for ourselves yet.

Do any of you have ideas on cool band names for our band? We want something obscure, but with some recognizable connection to Steely Dan. We already have some cool names to choose from. I am just looking for some more to add to our pool of names to pick from.

Thanks

"Bad Sneakers" is a great name, though there was an SD cover band in this area using that name at one time. I don't know if they're still active. It's always best to pick a reference from a tune you actually perform, so you don't give people false expectations.

Has "Naked Lunch" been taken?

I like Stealin' Dan, The Royal Scamsters, Pretzel Logic, Showbiz Kids, and Bad Sneakers.

Naked Lunchdude, how many Steely Dan songs has your band practiced so far? In the last couple of years, we've done about 15.. some pretty well, others about as well as Ellen DeGeneres in an NFL locker room.

I don't buy that, Lenny.

I've heard your stuff and I figure you are at least as good at covering their songs.
